The Magick College was a former vocational institute in Paradisium. It was founded by Raziel for the purpose of training Arkn magick users. It was later shut down during the Inquisition, and replaced by The Choir.
History
During the period of relative peace and prosperity after the First Arkn-Dekn War, Raziel devoted himself to the study and mastery of the various schools of magick. He used this magick to create the city of Paradisium; there, in the fifth tier of the city, he founded the kingdom's only Magick College, so that he could instruct gifted Arkn in how to use their magickal abilities. For many years, magick users were educated in the college—and, in turn, were sent to Earth to educate worthy humans in the ways of magick. The college became one of the most prestigious institutes in the kingdom, and Paradisium was a haven for magick users and scholars alike (or "magi").
The college was closed during the Inquisition of King Gilgamesh, under accusations that the students had begun experimenting with "perverse Dekn magicks" (Psionics). The Inquisition claimed that these heretical students had rebelled against their teachers, overthrowing and even killing some of them in their quest for greater power; it was said that the heretics had tattooed their foreheads with evil spells and Dekn magick symbols, and that channeling Dekn magicks through their minds had twisted them into "monsters". In the ensuing purge, students and teachers alike were exiled, executed, or defected. The College became the campus of The Choir, and its true history was erased from memory, never to be spoken of (save for a few survivors who secretly whispered about its past from the shadows).
