Midhir, heir to the Lyonesse family, likes to think he's more than just "Del'phar's servant," thank you very much. The first part of A Maelstrom of Fate follows the story of Midhir Lyonesse, a servant in the Royal Court of the Arkn. As he seeks to find out more about himself in the wake of his friend's descent into hell, and as he seeks to rescue the friend he holds so dearly, the situation grows more complicated than he can ever think of.
